Hi there! It's Rosanne here from Country Chic Paint! In this video I'd like show you how you can refinish your kitchen cabinets! Say you have kitchen cabinets that you're just not completely happy with but they're still in great shape Why don't you just paint them another color? In this video I'll show you how to do it so stay tuned! So we're going to be using a water and vinegar solution to clean our cabinet door We're going to use a clean cloth, some empty jars as well as Vanilla Frosting paint, our tough coat a sanding block and some brushes When painting kitchen cabinet doors the first thing you want to do is clean them really well Kitchen cabinet doors are prone to get quite messy so it's important that we clean them before we do anything else

So I'm going to use a solution of water and vinegar to clean this kitchen cabinet door Whatever cleaning product you use before painting you want to make sure that you follow up with an extra wipe down with a clean cloth with just water You don't want the cleaning product to leave a residue on your cabinet doors Now that my door is clean, I'm going to actually give it a light sanding with a fine grit sanding block Sanding doesn't have to take long maybe 30 seconds per door but it will give the paint a better chance to grip onto your service so for a large project, like kitchen cabinets, I think it's time well spent The reason I am cleaning it before sanding it is because I want to make sure that I'm not pushing the dirt or the wax further into the finish, so you want to clean it up first then sand it, then give it a final wipe down So for this demonstration I'm going to be using the color Vanilla Frosting which is probably one of our most popular colors So this color is a really nice off white color

I've already shaken the can and I'm just going to stir it really well to make sure that all contents are mixed up together before I start painting Now I'm going pour some off in a little cup you can use a mason jar anything small that you'd like just because I want to avoid contaminating my can of paint If I'm painting straight out of the can We're going to take a Country Chic Paint brush and you can start painting this door! As you can see I'm applying the paint in one direction of my door I'm doing that to create a smooth texture The brush I'm using is a large Country Chic Paint brush which was developed specifically to be used with our paint You can use other brushes too of course but I'd recommend using a soft synthetic bristle brush for the smoothest finish Keep in mind that it's better to do two thin coats than one thick coat So now that our door is painted we're just going to leave it to dry for at least 24 hours, but because I want to show you the next step I already prepared another door So it's the same door and it's had the chance to dry for over 24 hours now Before you apply tough coat, you want to make sure that it has actually dried for 24 hours You want to make sure that it's really really dry Because kitchen cabinets need to withstand a lot of usage I would recommend using Country Chic tough coat to finish your kitchen cabinets

This is a very high and durable finish it can even be used on floors, so that's how durable it is Okay so we're just going to open it up and then we're going stir it really well The last thing you want to do is shake the can because that will incorporate bubbles into the product and into your finish So you don't want to do that we just want to stir it Okay so now I'm going to be using a foam brush to apply the tough coat to this cabinet door Keep in mind that tough coat dries extremely quickly You want to lay it on and then move on to the next row don't go back and forth over parts that have started to dry already Even if you've missed a spot simply ignore it and then after its fully dry you can apply a second coat I would recommend doing two coats of tough coat on your kitchen cabinet or on your tabletop for example just make sure you leave it to dry for about an hour to two hours before you put on your next coat Another thing to keep in mind is it takes about a week for tough go to gain full strength

Even though you can use it right away you want to make sure that your little bit extra careful during the first week I hope you enjoyed this video please let me know if you have any questions by leaving a comment below and don't forget to visit our website to learn more about our products Our website address is countrychicpaintcom or you can click on the link below Thanks so much for watching! Kitchen
Recently, we found two simple, easy and inexpensive solutions to set up two spaces in the kitchen that we normally live in and that does not work well: drawers with plastic containers and weird plastic wrap and drawers or cabinets. with a plastic bag. At home, we keep some plastic bags we bring home, for use after our dog walks everyday. I think they should get them with some secret ingredient that increases the static attachment because we can never pick one out of the drawer. They remained united and ended up on a table or floor, usually when I was in a hurry because the dog was happy and barking to get out the door. However, there is a stainless steel bag organizer available on the market that keeps all the bags in one small space and crashing into the inside of the cabinet.
